My new shaaaaaaaaa

It's been a summer of home improvement for us. It's addictive and it's about time we got to it. As a result, everything else has sort of been neglected. I've been watching a lot of This Old House lately. It's cathartic to watch other people go through stress and feel that our projects are really small potatoes compared to the complete overhauls they show. I am better when it comes to procuring bids. This has come with practice, I used to be rather lazy about the whole process and would get a mental block when presented with more than one number to call. Now, I'm a regular appointment setter.

I feel like I've been far away. Not really been in much contact with friends this summer. Everyone is doing their own thing and I've been busy too. Time has flown by, wasn't it just May? Now as we near the end of the Paramount Movie Summer Classic Series, it seems like the months race by after September. Anxiety can set in if I think about this more than a second. Calenders don't really mark time for me, what does is hearing what's up with friends and acquaintances. A lot can happen in three months. I can see why digital clocks and watches are better to have around. None of that analog ticking that is so annoying when you need 32 hours in a day.

When there are stressors I tend to retreat. Isn't home improvement up there? It feels good to commiserate with other victims or survivors of the whole ordeal. So if you see me, it must be Lowes. This weekend I'm sanding down a vintage screen door and I want to sand down a vintage screen door so I can paint it and put it up because the house probably had one back in 1949 and this one is so cute and matches the shutters so perfectly. It took forever to get one, I mean wanted posts on Craigslist for months and driving to the Re-Habitat Store on weekends and looking into those $400 custom made vintage door makers online etc.... So you see, I don't expect you to understand, but it's a big deal. Then there is the refurbishing of one interior door. It's a two panel and those are in high demand and hard to come by and after months of searching the solution is a man who is excellent in bringing them back to perfection and the sooner I get the door to him the better I will feel. It's a fix!

Chickens. Well yeah it's been about chickens too. They start laying soon.
Not getting into the shed to studio transformation. But pics will follow once it is done.
