My favorite Dennis Hopper film will always be Night Tide.

I'd have to go with Wim Wender's "The American Friend", although everyone i recommend it to tells me that they fell asleep trying to watch it. I think its a masterpiece of mood/atmosphere, plus its got Nicholas Ray and Samuel Fuller and Bruno Ganz who has a wonderful moment in the film listening to the Kinks "too much on my mind" from their 1966 album Face to Face. I digress.
