Monday Snowmen
Claudia and I are notorious Monday slugs. We quit planning things for Monday evenings long time ago. On Mondays we usually drag ourselves home after work, barely hang in there long enough to do anything and cut out early. If I have anything to take care of I need to nap first. I never go to the gym on Monday, a did drive to the other side of town a few times to go skate but I'm usually useless on Monday evenings.
Surprisingly, that was not the case this evening. Claudia came over with bags of supplies and we headed over to my studio to make snowmen. I plugged in the glue gun and brought out pine cones, felt, pipe cleaners, glue and glitter. We worked for four hours straight. Claudia wanted to try this cute project.
Maybe we finally broke that lazy Monday streak we have had going for decades. We each made two snowmen but Claudia turned on one of her creations and tossed him into the trash (pobrecito), so he is not pictured. He was really cute though.

What a cute idea! I'll help my kids make the snowman, and then I'll knit one of those little stockings to go in the sled. Adorable!
You'll make a really cute one! I know you'll knit an awesome stocking too :> The only important thing to remember is to let the cotton dry completely before you begin to mold it, I had a tacky mess on my hands because I was too impatient.
What a nice way to spend you evening! Sometimes to hardest thing is to just get going, and start a new rhythm!
Many thanks for the book recommendation, Goat Song is now on my wish list.
