More Mochis

It is because my Abuelita will be turning 96 on March 18th that my thoughts at the moment are in Los Mochis and her house. My Abuelito passed away several years ago but I often dream of him. I feel fortunate to still have my Abuelita around. I feel her, though miles and worlds away, she is never far from my daily thoughts.

Your Abuelito has such a kind face. My children have no grandfathers - they all passed away before they were born. It always makes me sad because there is such a special bond between grandparents and grandchildren. I am wishing your Abuelita a very happy birthday.

Jedimommy: He could be serious sometimes but that made him funny and funnier when he joked around. He was very sweet. When I would get to see him he would be surrounded with kids, my little cousins, but I remember he'd come home for lunch or after work and would have a set of toy Mexican dishes for me. I still have the collection, took great care of it. He always sent us Mexican children's records through the mail.

Dar: Thank you
